The Role:

The Actuarial Trainee position offers an opportunity for professional development and involvement in various areas of Retirement Valuation processing, including Gratuity, Leave, LTSA, Provident Fund, Pension, and PRMB schemes, primarily for the Indian Market.

Major Responsibilities:

• Work on all stages of the process – from validating client data to liability calculation and reporting results to the client via actuarial reports.
• Prepare data validation, preliminary data reconciliation, and detailed data query files for review.
• Accurately capture client responses and formulate final data for liability valuation.
• Perform valuation runs and cross-verify results using logical checks.
• Carefully review communication from the team leader or project manager.
• Set up current year directories on the network.
• Follow all predefined steps while completing assigned work.
• Project plan assets if financial statements’ end date precedes the valuation date.
• Calculate required asset values and rates of return for the inter-valuation period.
• Prepare final valuation reports for clients, consolidating liability results and statistics from software tools.
• Understand disclosure requirements and conduct broad-level analysis to ensure data accuracy.
• Convert valuation runs from old software to new software.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of Indian and International accounting standards.
• Support special projects (Actuarial and Non-Actuarial) involving intensive data analytics and client communication.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (2024 pass outs) in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
