ICERM Internship 2025:
ICERM Internship 2025 : Summer@ICERM is a residential undergraduate research program hosted at the Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics at Brown University. Led by experienced faculty and graduate student teaching assistants, participating undergrads will spend seven weeks learning how to collaborate, engage in data science, and conduct research as a team. The goal of Summer@ICERM 2025: Building Useful Insights from Local Data through Sustainable partnerships (BUILDS) is to introduce students with limited experience to the field of data science through projects related to issues such as global food systems, food production, and food security.

Summer Details
- No prerequisites required, except:
- A strong interest in learning data science and programming in Python.
- Willingness to learn by doing and embrace making mistakes.
- Collaboration on data problems with other students and community partners (who may also lack experience in data science or programming).
- Focus on improving communication skills and career preparation.
Important Notes
- Applicants must be matriculating undergraduate students at the start of Summer@ICERM 2025.
- Funding is available for 1-2 students who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Funding Includes*
- $3,500 stipend.
- Room, board, and travel funding for Providence, RI.
- Brown University students opting out of dorm accommodations waive ICERM-provided housing and meal funding.
