Charpak Summer Training Scholarship - Internship in France

Charpak Internship 2025 : This program is designed for Indian students enrolled in an Indian institution at the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level, planning to undertake a short term internship or research project at a French laboratory or institution during their academic break (between May and August).

Eligibility

• Applicant must be an Indian national residing in India at the time of application.
• Must not be more than 30 years old at the time of application.
• Should be enrolled in an Indian institution of higher learning at Bachelor's or Master's level at the time of application.
• Must possess an invitation letter from a French laboratory or institution where the research internship or project will be carried out.
  • Candidates must approach the laboratory or institution independently, based on their research interests.
• Duration of the research internship or project:
  • Must be at least 1 month and not exceed 2 months.
  • Expenses for any duration exceeding 2 months must be borne by the awardee.

Online Application Procedure

• Interested candidates must apply on the online scholarship portal.
• Required documents for submission:
  • Recent photograph (professional portrait, preferably in JPG format).
  • Scanned copy of the first page of the passport (with photo and expiry date). If unavailable, attach proof of passport application.
  • Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages).
  • Scanned copies of mark sheets and degree certificates for Higher Secondary School (XII), Bachelor's, and Master's degrees, including completed semesters of the ongoing degree.
  • No objection certificate (NOC) from the Indian university:
    • Must attest to the applicant's student status and approve of the internship or research project in France.
  • Scanned copy of the invitation letter from the French institution/laboratory:
    • Must specify the exact duration of the internship or research project.
    • If unavailable before the deadline, attach email correspondence as proof of intent to receive it later.
  • French language certificate, if any (DELF/DALF).
  • Document of employment/internship record, if applicable.
  • Letter(s) of recommendation from the current Indian university (optional):
    • Should include the referee's signature and contact details.
    • Preferably on institutional letterhead and stamped.
